Research activity in the International Studies Division focuses on issues such as human rights, migration, organized crime, Mexican foreign policy, the foreign policy of subnational governments, regional integration, and transnational relations, including environmental and labor NGOs. Our research is recognized nationally and internationally, and is published in a wide variety of journals, including The Journal of Peace Research, Third World Quarterly, International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Politics, International Politics, Latin American Research Review, Politics and Policy. We organize a regular seminar session as well as occasional seminars and workshops, and colleagues participate regularly in annual conferences of the International Studies Association, American Political Science Association, Latin American Studies Association, and Mexican Association of International Studies (AMEI).
